It was birthday time again at our house! The years are just going so fast. Of course pink was the color of choice and I don’t like buying a bunch of party stuff – it just gets thrown away. So what I did is rummage through the girls bedrooms.
First of all I was so excited to use my favorite piece of furniture! I love how it opens up. I started with her Grace sign and worked around that. We had pink chairs in the garage and I love the bucket for ice and water (I actually forgot to put the water in when the party was going on. Oops).
I made the rose balls and put them on candle sticks. All I did was make roses with streamer paper. I did it the same way I did my valentines wreath (click for directions).
I also made a bowl with a dollar store doily. I did it the same way I made my Easter bonnet baskets except I put a cereal bowl upside down and covered it with Saran Wrap. I soaked the doily in stiffy and placed it over the bowl until it was dry. Of course filled it with pink candy.
I also filled the drink dispenser with pick lemonade I just didn’t photograph it. I don’t have a stand for my dispenser so I covered a little stool with a towel. Voila.
Filled the other dish with her favorite candy….
and put her sugar hand scrub party gifts on the table too.
Something else that would have been adorable would have been the pink lemonade cake pops. Oh well maybe next time.
For the kids we gave cups with straws filled with gum and candy (parents love it when you send their kids home with candy!). I added the cup sleeve made from my Cameo Silhouette with a thank you to our kid guests. And the sugar scrub for the women.
It’s amazing the things you can find around your house to decorate for a party! It’s pretty and you don’t have to spend a lot of extra money!
