Easy Art For a Large Wall

Feb 2013 014I really struggled with my eight year old daughters room and what to put on the large wall above her bed.  This is how it ultimately ended up but I did a few things before this that basically had no cost. Continue reading

Pretty Pink Birthday

June 2013 018It was birthday time again at our house!  The years are just going so fast.  Of course pink was the color of choice and I don’t like buying a bunch of party stuff – it just gets thrown away.  So what I did is rummage through the girls bedrooms.  Continue reading

Barbie Doll Clothes Pin Chair

aug 2013 066My mom did a great job saving a lot of our toys and especially the Barbie Doll stuff.  I let my girls play with them which may not be the smartest thing to do but they are pretty nice to their toys.  Continue reading

Party Favors – Sugar Hand Scrub

June 2013 020I have to admit I got this idea from a gift I received from my daughters teacher – for volunteering.  What a great gift!  I wanted to ask her how she made it – but I was embarrassed.  First of all it’s cute and second its pink!  So to find out how she made it I did a search on my own.  Not only did I find an awesome recipe I found a great website.  Continue reading

Fourth of July Pinwheels

Making Pinwheels is pretty easy and who doesn’t like a good pinwheel?  I included a few in my tissue pom decoration.  I did use my Silhouette to make the template but if you don’t have one all you need to do is cut an 8″ x 8″  square and cut up 4 1/2 inches on each corner.  Continue reading

Fourth of July Tissue Poms

A great way to decorate for the 4th of July is tissue poms.  I use them for many things as you have seen such as bows for presents or decorating a room.  Last year I tied each individual pom to the roof of our gazebo and it took me over an hour to get them up.  Not this year!  Continue reading
