Transformed Gazebo

We sit outside so much more now that we have a gazebo on our top deck.  On our lower patio we get really intense sun in the late afternoon so we had talked about putting another gazebo down there.  Cameron was looking on Craigslist one day and came across one in our area so we decided to check it out.  The canopy was in great condition but the metal had a lot of rust – but that’s no big deal and we didn’t have to pay a lot for it.

You need to get as much of the rust off before you paint.  You can use a wire brush or the wire attachment for your screw gun.  Wipe the pieces down well before you start to paint. Looks like our cart could use a little make over as well!

Look at these artists at work!  You can probably see a few projects “sitting” around. We used Rust-Oleum outdoor black spray paint and gave this old gazebo a fresh look.   Make sure you spray it in a well ventilated area or do it outside.  It looks really good don’t you think?

The side panels did not come with so I will be making my own.  Wait and see what I did!  Two panels for under $30 and no sewing (post coming soon).   We are so happy summer is finally here!
